Yeh, “fit” is not a correct terminology for teeth care, but yes, healthy teeth is a sign of fit and healthy body. Certain diseases of teeth cause various systemic diseases like Sepsis, Infective Endocarditis, fluorosis etc. So oral and dental hygiene is must for a sound healthy body. Also, healthy teeth improves your cosmesis and self confidence.
We usually neglect oral care and don’t brush our teeth regularly twice a day. That may cause dental diseases and which in turn can affect our food intact. Because of which, one suffer from nutritional imbalance and depression. So prevention is better than cure. Brush your teeth regularly, twice a day with proper tooth paste, tooth brush, floss, tongue cleaner. You can use a mouth rinse after brushing.
The aim of dental hygiene is to prevent development of plaque, cavity, tooth decay and various gum diseases. You should also visit a dentist regularly - once or twice a year, for screening purposes. Your doctor may advise various preventive steps like fluoride treatment, scaling of tartar, sealant application etc. The dentist may also perform x-ray if he suspect any endo-dontal disease.
Thus, keep your teeth free from various diseases like Gingivitis, Periodontitis, Caries, Plaque etc. and keep them “Fit“. ![]()
