Though Diabetes is a life long disease, but if you take care of yourself, your food habits and take medicines regularly, you can live a long life without any problem. Here are some tips to stay fit and healthy with your diabetes :
- Take your medicines regularly
- Go for regular blood sugar examination as per your doctor’s advise
- Avoid taking sweet and too much fat
- Take green leafy vegetables plenty
- Take your meal at regular time after your drug
- Keep a Diabetes card mentioning your name, family doctor, medicines etc.
- Keep glucose tablets with you in case of hypoglycemia
- Have you HbA1c checked regularly
- Take care of your feet, avoid injuries or treat them promptly if any
